Rube Bloom (b, April 24, 1902, New York City, USA – d, March 30, 1976, New York City, USA) recorded 23 novelty ragtime songs in the 1920s, performed on records with Joe Venuti’s Blue Four in 1928, recorded three records in 1930 with Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and others as a leader of Rube Bloom and His Bayou Boys, played with Bix Beiderbecke and Frankie Trambauer in the Sioux City Six, and published several books on piano method.
